Measuring Compliance Program Effectiveness: A Resource Guide

On March 27, 2017, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) posted a 52 page comprehensive document entitled, “Measuring Compliance Program Effectiveness: A Resource Guide.” The Resource Guide can be found here. The Resource Guide provides seven program elements and hundreds of metrics that organizations can utilize to measure the effectiveness of their compliance programs.

Every organization has different needs when it comes to developing and implementing a compliance program, a one-size fits all approach is not workable in this industry. While the Resource Guide provides exceptional insight, it should be combined with experienced lawyers to ensure the development of a program specific to the needs of each organization. As former federal healthcare prosecutors, our lawyers know how to design a compliance program in accordance with OIG rules and regulations, while customizing it to the specific needs of each organization.
